Major Natural Gas Appliances

Tankless Water Heaters

  • Endless hot water
  • Up to 50% in water heating energy savings

Tank-Style Water Heaters

  • Up to twice the hot water, nearly twice as fast (compared to non-gas)
  • Lower purchase price than tankless models

  • Precise temperature control, even heat and instant on/off
  • Continue to operate when the power goes out
  • Preferred by more than 9-out-of-10 chefs
  • Up to a $200 rebate

Clothes Dryers

  • Dry loads nearly twice as fast as non-gas
  • Fewer wrinkles and reduced clothing wear-and-tear
  • Cost around 25% less per load
  • Up to a $150 rebate


  • Up to 95% energy efficient
  • Up to 25° warmer heat than non-gas
  • Keep up with the lowest temperatures
  • Up to a $725 rebate


Outdoor/Luxury Natural Gas Appliances

Builders can appeal to a higher standard and floor homeowners with natural gas luxury/outdoor appliances. Examples of low labor, high margin upgrades include:

  • Indoor & outdoor fireplaces 
  • Generators
  • Outdoor grills
  • Patio & garage heaters
  • Outdoor lights & tiki torches
  • Desiccant dehumidifiers
  • Pool heaters


Natural Gas Rebates

Enabled through Florida’s Energy Conservation Program and numerous natural gas utilities, cash rebates and other incentives work to offset the initial cost of including natural gas appliances, making it an easier choice for homeowners. For builders, this can prove a valuable sales tool for new construction and remodeling projects—helping to boost everything from home value to your portfolio.

Potential rebates and incentives that can be passed onto clients—or in some cases, redeemed directly by builders—include up to:

  • $1,750 cash back for a new residential natural gas water heater, range, clothes dryer and furnace
  • $450 in residential natural gas tax incentives
  • $700 reactivation bonus for qualifying homeowners that reactive their natural gas service
  • $50 per ton for natural gas commercial units, including gas-fired heat pumps and space conditioning systems
